In der Presse werden europaweit vor allem die hohen Zahlen an Bordetella pertussis Nachweisen thematisiert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>B. pertussis<\/em> ist der haupts\u00e4chliche Erreger des Keuchhustens und der Mensch das einzige Reservoir. Trotz verf\u00fcgbarer Impfung kommt es immer wieder weltweit zu gr\u00f6\u00dferen Ausbr\u00fcchen. B. pertussis ist hoch kontagi\u00f6s und besonders f\u00fcr S\u00e4uglinge sowie kleine Kinder und auch \u00e4ltere Menschen oder Menschen mit Erkrankungen der Atemwege besteht bei Infektion erh\u00f6hter Handlungsbedarf, da der Verlauf \u00e4u\u00dferst kritisch werden kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die aktuellen Zahlen aus Europa zeigen einen extremen Anstieg der diagnostischen Analysen sowie der best\u00e4tigten Fallzahlen. Im Verh\u00e4ltnis wurden bereits im ersten Quartal 2024 schon mehr F\u00e4lle registriert als \u00fcber das komplette Jahr 2023.
